It is very important that you open this file and add your personal details
You cannot just attach this to the email. It will not count as a valid submission.
You MUST edit the document to include your personal details before attaching it to the email!
There is no word limit, so you can add as much or as little as you want to the red text box areas.

Yes!
You can also get a physical copy of the template from the Cranker and complete it by hand at the front bar - this option is limited and only available until close of business on Thursday 9 May 2024!
At the very bottom of this webpage is a hand-fillable version of the template.
Write about why the Crown and Anchor Hotel, the Cranker, is culturally and historically significant.
Write about Roxie’s!
Write about Midnight Spaghetti!
Write about Chateau Apollo!
Write about the significance of local live music in Adelaide!
Write about the historic and current community value of public houses, heritage buildings, and sheltered (indoors, warm, etc) community spaces!
Write about what this all means to you.
Read the background information below for some inspiration on the technicalities of the SCAP assessment.
What is most important is that SCAP receive a significant number of varied and personalised representations about the significance of the site in its current form and the inappropriateness of the development.
Near the bottom of the template is a question about whether you wish to be heard in support of your submission or not. The Save The Cranker campaign has pre-filled this question with these answers:
“I wish to be heard in support of my submission”
“by being represented by the following person:”
We would like you to nominate one of the three board members listed in the red text:
There is a fourth option to nominate "Save The Cranker Oversight Board" as a general representative on your behalf as well.
When you do this, you have the effect of accumulating time for the campaign board members to be allowed to speak.
If we were all to speak individually, we may only get 3-5 minutes each. If you nominate us to speak for you, the three board members may get something like 15 to 30 minutes to speak each. This extra time will allow us to put together a more comprehensive argument to the Assessment Panel.
If you wish to speak for yourself, we support you doing that! Please feel free to change the pre-filled answers accordingly.
The following points were prepared by Save the Cranker campaign supporters and members of the campaign's Strategy Drafting Branch. They may help you when writing your own submissions.
Be warned - there is a lot of detail here. This is why we have created the template document above.
Read the development plan here:
You can download all of the documents that Wee Hur have created to support their application. This includes the Planning Report by MasterPlan and the Heritage Impact Statement by DASH.
Heritage and Cultural Significance
Failures in Heritage Impact Assessments
Development Threats to Heritage
The Local Heritage Place Overlay points are what is referred to in the letter template.
